The James Rodriguez roller coaster continues to take more twists and turns with the Real Madrid star's future in major doubt.

Reports in Spain yesterday suggested Liverpool were willing to make a £52m bid for his services.

Journalist Jose Luis Sanchez says Real have rejected a huge bid from the Gunners with it falling just short of Real's £69.8million valuation

Diego Costa has sensationally claimed he is no longer in Antonio Conte's plans at Chelsea.
Costa made the shock admission to reporters after Spain's friendly with Colombia on Wednesday night.
The Chelsea striker claimed he has had a text from Conte to tell him he is no longer in his plans.
Costa said: "Conte has sent a message saying that he does not want me.

"If they don't want me there, I'll have to search for a team."

However, stop to think for a moment, and you will soon realise that the Premier League will be a far more boring place without Costa.

Let's face it - however much you think you hate his on-pitch behaviour… the truth is everyone LOVES to hate him

Do you think the predictions are anything to go by?

Real Madrid face Juventus in Saturday's Champions League battle with the Spanish giants looking to secure a historic 12th European crown.
It is the biggest game in European club football - possibly the world - and it is coming to British shores.
Cardiff hosts its first-ever Champions League final and it will be the first to feature a closed roof. Another moment of history.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has agreed terms on a new two-year contact at the Emirates Stadium.

Wenger has been at the helm of the club for almost 21 years and the new contract would see him stay until at least 2019. But there has been increased pressure on his future there, with a section of supporters calling for him to depart this summer having failed to qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 1997.
Many officers of Nigerian police are feared dead after suspected officers of Nigerian Navy stormed a police division in Calabar, on Tuesday night.

According to witnesses, the attack began shortly after 8:30 p.m., and was still underway as at 10:19 p.m. at Akim Divisional Headquarters

The police station is still burning as we speak,” a horrified witness told Premium Times

“Some naval officers ran the red light and police traffic officers intervened, but rather than listen, they descended on the policemen and beat them up,” a witness said. “This was around 5 p.m.” “Police officers now called for back up and and the Navy also called for reinforcement and they took over the road leading to the airport. “But the Navy Commander and police commissioner in the state intervened and the two sides backed down,” the witness said.
“However, around 8:00 p.m., when everyone thought the matter had been resolved, naval officers descended on Akim Police Station and started shooting and burnt down the facility. “We confirmed three bodies but we feared there are more,” the witness said.
Ernesto Valverde named barcelona coach

Barcelona have confirmed that Ernesto Valverde will be their new coach for the 2017-18 season.

The 53-year-old stepped down after four seasons in a second spell at Athletic Club last week and was widely expected to take over from Luis Enrique this summer.

Barca had promised an announcement after the Copa del Rey final and a statement on Monday confirmed Valverde as the new coach on a two-year deal.

Do you think he can upstage the zinedine zidane's Madrid Army and reclaim their place in europe???
Borussia Dortmund have sacked manager Thomas Tuchel after days of winning the DFB-Pokal final against Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 43-year-old has been at the helm of the Bundesliga club since succeeding Jurgen Klopp in 2015, but according to sources from German paper BILD, he has now been relieved of his duties.

Our oga is at it again ooo... The troubler of the Buhari led administration, Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to speak with him on phone to convince Nigerians that he is hale and hearty.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, yesterday, Fayose disputed reports that Buhari had spoken in one week, first with the King of Morocco and next with the president of the African Union.
According to Fayose, the president should call him instead of speaking with “outsiders to convince Nigerians of his health status.”

He said: “I advise the president to speak with me for the purpose of convincing Nigerians.if their problem is that they are looking for a credible person who can help them convince Nigerians that all is well with our president, Ayodele Fayose, is their best bet. Let the president speak with me. If I tell Nigerians that the president spoke with me, Nigerians will believe,” he said.
"Since they are eager for the president to speak to people, believing this is the way to convince Nigerians that their President is hale and hearty, let President Buhari talk to me. I can be reached on 08035024994. I am credible and Nigerians will believe me,” he said.

HIM WHO IS LOVE
Knowledge demands that a man who has sinned use the word to purge himself because for what you commit yourself to is what you become

Worship is a life which exchange your personality into HIS NATURE

A consistent yearning for HIM gives you an experience that leaves a SCAR on your destiny(truth be told on your destiny)

Only if a man lays down every burden that he purchased with his physical strength but come to the state that only God can SATISFY him then he becomes the KNOWLEDGE

Love genuinely changes a man(it preaches more  than what you give or say)because You can't kill a weakness that you hide but you can through HIM who is LOVE.

when you worship without love it is you watering the soul and not the spirit(but remember the spirit giveth life)

BUT I have a question that I want you all to be sincere with.....
WHY DO YOU YEARN FOR GOD???

*is for fame
*for needs
*for a miracle
*for wealth or maybe I never mentioned but until you come to the level that "THERE IS MORE"
...you will not understand WHO LOVE IS

Pain is normal, challenges arise, allow yourself to feel pain but dont let it be too long because pain has to feel you too!

You are not alone, you are not the first you wount be the last but what you do with your pain makes you indescribable. Turn that pain into power.

In my puberty days, i usually get cramps and it makes me cry so hard i'd tell myselft i not to go to school, i would cook up lies to my dad to allow me stay back. Sometimes i ask God why he has to allow women go through such pain, but then these were words i should have told myself, what if i was a secretary in a company or a  cashier in a bank, when i'd have to get up as early to go to work, would i tell my boss to allow me stay back cause of cramps?

Pain comes in various ways it is so there that it has to disguise itself just to appear in a way. life is a journey, your tires get on bumps when you travel right?? Yes challenges come but they shouldnt hold you back. You dare not let them.. you are the step you take!!

Africoin as a digital money is an Internet-based medium of exchange distinct from physical notes or coins that
exhibits properties similar to physical currencies, but allows for instantaneous transactions and borderless
transfer-of-ownership.

Both virtual currencies and cryptocurrencies are types of digital currencies. Like traditional money these
currencies may be used to buy physical goods and services but could also be restricted to certain
communities such as for example for use inside an online social network.

Africoin Advantages and Features
1. Small total circulated coins - 50,000,000 coins
2. Easy convertibility from digital currency to fiat money.
3. Very large merchants base for spending your AFC
4. Fast growing ecosystem - AFC community growing at over 1,000 members weekly.

The Africoin AFC started at $0.001 per coin and it is expected to climb to at least $10 per coin before the close of 2017. Speculators and investors are already trading the currency for quick gains as the AFC community grows. At the moment the AFC has risen more than 2,000% within few weeks of pre-launch and this trend is expected to continue into mid 2017.

How do I make money from Africoin?
Holding some thousand units of Africoin AFC is a sure way to get out of poverty and become a multi-millionaire over a period of 6months or a year. This trend has been replicated severally and this is Africa's chance to also produce several millionaires from the digital currency experience.

To create wealth, buy at least 1,000 AFC and hold for a while (6-12months) for none traders while for speculators or investors, buy hundreds of thousands of AFC and sell step-wisely as the price increases. At this pre-launch stage, you can purchase AFC blocks at almost the #Genesis price of $0.01(N5) per coin. AFC blocks are in multiple of 50,000 coins (units).

Africoin is currently traded in several exchanges and speculators are pushing the price higher daily and the AFC community is growing helping to push the demand for the limited 50million coins higher. Prices are expected to climb above $10 before the end of 2017. Buying a block of AFC now for just about $500 will be valued for over $500,000 before the end of 2017. Only visionary investors can see this while the opportunity is open.

How do I buy Africoin?
You can also buy Africoin from members who have Africoins and are willing to sell to you. At the moment all 40,000,000+ coins are already distributed across the Africoin community.

During this pre-launch stage, you can buy Africoin Blocks for far less the current market price if you are a networker and can distribute the coins quickly. AFC blocks comes in 100,000 units

A 65-year-old woman is admitted to the hospital for a kidney transplant. Her son is brought in as the best available match as a donor.

What, if anything, do you tell the woman, her husband, or the son?

Over 500 cows belonging to Fulani herdsmen were reportedly stolen in the Oke Ogun and Ibarapa Areas of Oyo state. the Chairman, Soludero Hunters Association, Chief Oladejo Oladapo and the President of the association, Chief Nureni Ajijola Idris, have advised the Fulani socio-cultural organization, Jamu Nati Fulbe Association of Nigeria not to take laws into their own hands. they stated that paramilitary agencies and the government are investigating the whole issue. they prayed the herdsmen to thread the path of peace. A committee was set up to look into the whole issue.

Reports from National Chairman of the Fulani herdsmen, Alhaji Saliu Kadir had complained bitterly about the insouciant attitude to the issue and had ordered the closure of all cattle markets in Ibarapa Area of Oyo state.
Will this lead to a dispute or will it be settled amicably?
 whats your take?
there is a popular saying that "leave the best for the last" i wanted to wait till the last minutes of today but cant hold it anymore. i met him for the first time when my Daddy, PST John Onekele  invited him during one of the 40days program.
i fell in love with his dress sense immediately, when i had the prices of some of his accessories. i fell deeper in love with him(forgive my english)
i remember when he spoke, it sparked something in me. i knew that am better than what and how i was living. He exposed truths about prosperity and you could see hunger and passion for GOD in his eyes.
i remember when he told me to read on a book "THE RICHEST MAN IN BABYLON" in did not drop it till i was done. it opened me to many things.

sir, i and the entire kogigists' crew thank you for every single advice you have given. may you never lack helpers, may God be your eternal reward, you wont fail your generation. your family will be proud to have you as part of them.

HAPPY EARTH DAY SIR

Attention of the Leadership of the National Association of Kogi State Students (KSUCHAPTER) has been drawn to a purported planned protest by some faceless and unidentified group of persons who described themselves as students of Kogi State, over the simultaneous industrial action embarked upon by Kogi State owned Tertiary Institutions Academic and Non-Academic Staff for non payment of eight months salary arrears amongst other demands. In view of the above, this is to inform members of the general public that NAKOSS KSU Chapter which is the umbrella body of Kogi State Students is totally unaware of this plan and thus seek to be disassociated from such. The post leading to this has been going on, on several media platforms.
I bear in mind controversies that are most likely to be surrounded by this disclaimer amongst which are blackmails and refusal to believe in the ingenuity of the purpose for this. We must however not relent in our bid to keep the reputation of the Association sacrosanct as we have a proper and matured means of communicating information on every given issue. As an association and a student body precisely we believe in the practice of due process, respect for constituted authorities, lay down rules and orders and as well as objective consultations. It is not untrue that even as individuals we have the right to demand for good governance and in particular security of our individual or collective rights but then we must try as much as possible to present our issues or grievances without deformation of characters or violating the right of others. The first step to be taken in a situation like this is the process of consultation which has already started from both the Student Leadership and University Management angle. Evident to this claim is the letter of appeal written and addressed to the Governor of Kogi State by SUG and NAKOSS KSU chapter on the need for quick response of government to the demands of both Unions and address other matters of students concern like that of the medical students who are stagnated at the pre-clinical stage of their study, this appeal was made in the best interest of the students as it is most disheartening that we who are at the receiving end of it all are made to go through this harrowing experience owing to strike action embarked upon twice just within
10 months. The need for this disclaimer and appeal for calm became pertinent because of the need to educate Parents, guardians, concerned security agencies, other constituted authorities and as well as the general public that we the students of Kogi Sate in Kogi State University Anyigba, will never get involved in any activity that will not guarantee the lives and properties of her members or pose threat to the fledgling peace in the state.
You may recall that Protest as a lawful means of seeking or demanding for right should be a last resort after all peaceful means of demanding for same has been exhausted. But with the consultation so far, assurance has been given that very soon government will engage leadership of both Unions in a holistic discussion geared towards addressing their demands. Our position is to always represent the interest of we the students and in this case express our obvious grievances arising from the inconveniences of the strike action and not to be used as an instrument by any of the parties to fight the other. It is very unwise, quiet embarrassing and not comprehensively objective for some faceless and specifically unidentified individuals who  describe themselves as stakeholders majority of whom are neither students nor legally constituted authorities to embark on an action such as this without proper consultations of neither the student leaders of affected institution nor congress. I personally have respect for every Kogi State Students and shall never be part of any activity that will jeopardize their right especially the right to quality education which is very fundamental. It is not always about me as a person but the office which is our collective wealth.

NAKOSS KSU chapter will always continue to work in collaboration with our principal student body which is the SUG under the able and visionary leadership of Comrade Shaibu Philip Omepa to ensure that the voice of the students are heard in every issue of general concern. Fellow students while the process of consultations continues and we patiently and diplomatically await the response of government to our appeal, we seek for your patience and understanding because as students we must always try no matter the situation to be ambassadors of peace, so that at the end of the day our studentship will be justified without doubt in our intellectual capability, quality of good character and patriotism as the leaders of tomorrow. Interest of few who are attention seekers must never be allowed to override our collective demands. The situation is
worrisome, this we are aware of but remember two wrongs can never make a right and there is no government at any level that does not have it flaws and this is the reason why your suggestions and constructive criticisms are always needed for the system to be right.
KOGI STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENT LEADERSHIP

In conclusion, Please inform others that despite our shortcomings, just like the way we have never failed to represent you well in the past when it comes to issues like this, we have no reason to comprise on your interest at this critical point. Remember we are all involved. My unalloyed loyalty and appreciation goes to the KSU SUG president, Comrade Shaibu Philip Omepa who in collaboration with my very humble self and other concerned persons has known no rest since the declaration of the strike action. Thanks and God bless us all bountifully.
– Abdulmalik Hadi Adinoyi.
NAKOSS President
KSU, Anyigba.

The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has given the Visitation Panel to the state-owned university, the Kogi State University, Anyigba, four weeks to complete its assignment and submit its report to the state government.
Governor Bello stated this while inaugurating the 8-man panel, which is to be headed by the Former Vice Chancellor of the Osun State University and present Provost of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC) Academy, Prof. Olusola Akinrinde, at the Government House, Lokoja today.
He asked the committee members to be faithful and carry out their work with the highest level of integrity. The governor stressed that he expects the best from the panel given the professionalism exhibited by the members in their various fields of endeavour.
“I am a kind of person who gives people assignments if I am convinced they have the character and competence to do the work. I urge you to carry out your assignment with every sense of sincerity and without fear or favour”, the governor stressed.
Speaking earlier, the Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Mrs. Ayode Folashade Arike PhD, said the recommendations of the National Universities Commission (NUC) on the composition of visitation panel to universities were followed to the letter. She said the objective of the visitation is to “assess the general administration of the institution and the management of resources as well as to identify areas requiring remedial action for the Visitor (the Governor) to issue the necessary directives.”
Dr. Arike listed the terms of reference of the visitation as follows:
a.       To inquire into the level of implementation of the White Paper on the last Visitation Report, if any
b.       To look into the leadership quality of the University in terms of the roles of the Governing Council, the Vice-Chancellor and other Principal Officers
c.       To look into the financial management of the University, including statutory allocations and Internally Generated Revenue
d.       To investigate the application of funds, particularly the Special Grants, Loans, meant for specific projects
e.       To examine the adequacy of the Staff and Staff Development Programmes in the University
f.        To determine the relationship between the University and the various statutory bodies it interacts with
g.       Determine the ‘Law’ establishing the University, including the relationship between the various internal organs, units and officers and indicate ways the Law has been observed
h.       To trace the historical evolution of the University and take stock of its net achievements and problems
i.         To examine the general security of the University, how it has dealt with it and recommend appropriate measures to deal with it
j.         To examine the processes and structures of the mechanisms of discipline of students in the University.
Responding, the Chairman of the Panel, Prof. Akinrinade, thanked the Governor on behalf of other members saying it is a privilege that will be taken seriously. He said the likely outcome of the visitation will have positive impact on the direction the university will take in years to come.
He stressed: “Properly utilised, visitation panels are preventive measures that assist institutions and their proprietors to take stock of their journeys, the performance of their systems and structures of governance and the various processes that facilitate the smooth running of an institution. The work of a visitation panel actually provides an excellent opportunity for institutions to engage in self-directed reflection and chart the way forward for the University.
“It is our hope that when completed, the report of this panel will assist the Kogi State University in moving forward.”
Other members of the Visitation Panel are:
1.       Prof. (Mrs) Ande Jane – Chartered Accountant
2.       Prof Yilkur N. Lohdip – Director of Academic Planning
3.       Dr. Ruqayyat Guri – Director, Student Support Services, NUC
4.       Barr. Femi Adegboyega – State Legal Adviser
5.       Arc. Tade Aimola – Architect
6.       Barr. Jili Dandam – Former Registrar
7.       Mr. Ajode Benjamin – Deputy Director in SSG’s Office and Panel Secretary.

Sequel to the unforseen resignation of the erstwhile Commissioner for Agriculture,  Dr Tim Nda Dichie two weeks ago, the Kogi State executive council under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello has  passed a resolution yesterday to adopt Bar. Kehinde Oloruntoba to hold sway for the time being.
Kehinde Oloruntoba who’s currently the Commissioner for Budget and Planning will now have to officiate over his extant ministry and also fill in the lacuna created by Dr Tim in the ministry of Agriculture.
While addressing the directors of the ministry immediately after the executive meeting yesterday, he appealed for their collaborative efforts to achieve the goals of the ministry as enshrined in the Governor’s blueprint program.
” Agriculture is the hope of Nigeria’s economy thus, the ministry of Agriculture is pivotal in the new direction map of the state government” he said.

Here are some facts from our common heritage that should make you proud to be called a Nigerian:
1. Nigeria is home to seven percent (7%) of the total languages spoken on earth. Taraba state alone has more languages than 30 African countries. The importance of this fact is appreciated when one understands that language is the “soul of culture” (as Ngugi wa Thiongo famously said). It is language that births the proverbs, riddles, stories and other aspects of culture that give us identity. UNESCO puts forward that the world’s languages represents an extraordinary wealth of creativity. Linguistic diversity correlates with cultural diversity. This means Nigeria can look inwards and drive itself to become the greatest hub for cultural tourism on earth, and consequently empower its citizens tremendously in the process.
2. The Walls of Benin (800-1400AD), in present day Edo State, are the longest ancient earthworks in the world, and probably the largest man-made structure on earth. They enclose 6500 square kilometers of community lands that connected about 500 communities. At over 16000km long, it was thought to be twice the length of the Great Wall of China, until it was announced in 2012 (after five years of meticulous measurement by Chinese surveyors) that the Great Wall is about 21,000km long.
3. The Yoruba tribe has the highest rate of twin births in the world. Igbo-Ora, a little town in Oyo state, has been nicknamed Twin capital of the World because of its unusually high rate of twins that is put as high as 158 twins per 1000 births. In a video I watched last year on YouTube presented by Titi (a white lady who speaks Yoruba), and which was centred on twin births in Igbo-Ora, one of the locals boasted that every family in the town has at least one twin!

4. Sarki Muhammad Kanta The Great of Kebbi, was the only ruler who resisted control by Songhai, West Africa’s greatest empire at that time. He founded and ruled the Hausa city-state of Kebbi around 1600 A.D and built Surame its capital, a planned city which was almost impossible to penetrate during war. In fact UNESCO describes Surame as “one of the wonders of human history, creativity and ingenuity”, and probably the most massive stone-walled constructions in West Africa. He is listed in Robin Walker’s 50 Greatest Africans.
5. Africa’s oldest known boat is The Dufuna canoe which was discovered in Dufuna village, Yobe state, by a Fulani Herdsman in May 1987, while he dug a well. Various radio-carbon tests conducted in laboratories of reputable universities in Europe and America indicate that the canoe is over 8,000 years old, thus making it the oldest in Africa and 3rd oldest in the world. The discovery of the canoe has completely changed accepted theories of the history and sophistication of marine technology in Africa.
6. Sungbo’s Eredo, a 160 km rampart equipped with guard houses and moats, is reputed to be the largest single pre-colonial monument (or ancient fortification if you like) in Africa. It is located in present-day Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State and when it was built a millennium ago, it required more earth to be moved during construction than that used for building the Great Pyramid of Giza (one of the Seven Wonders of The Ancient World). The most astonishing thing is that Sungbo’s Eredo was the biggest city in the world (bigger than Rome and Cairo) during the Middle Ages when it was built!
7. Sarki Abdullah Burja of Kano (ruled 1438-1452 AD), the 18th ruler of Ancient Kano, created the first Golden Age in Northern Nigeria and ushered in a period of great prosperity. During his reign, Hausa became the biggest indigenous language spoken in Africa after Swahili. He is on the list of 50
Greatest Africans in Robin Walker’s wonderful book, “When We Ruled”.
8. The Jos Plateau Indigobird, a small reddish-brown bird, is found nowhere else on the planet but Plateau state, Nigeria.
9. The Anambra waxbill, a small bird of many beautiful colours, is found only in Southern Nigeria and nowhere else on earth.
10. The Niger Delta (which is the second largest delta on the planet), has the highest concentration of monotypic fish families in the world, and is
also home to sixty percent of Nigeria’s mangrove forests. You should know too that Nigeria’s mangrove forests are the largest in Africa and third largest on earth.
11. According to the World Resources Institute, Nigeria is home to 4,715 different types of plant species, and over 550 species of breeding birds and mammals, making it one of the most ecologically vibrant places of the planet.
12. Ile-Ife, in present day Osun State, was paved as early as 1000AD, with decorations that originated from Ancient America suggesting there might have been contact between the Yorubas and the Ancient Americans half a millenium before Columbus ‘discovered’ America.
Now, what if we tell you seventy-five other amazing facts about Nigeria that The Green Heritage has discovered over the past eighteen months? Would you not be thrilled to watch a movie that resurrects and projects, in stunning visuals, the historical, cultural and natural heritage of Nigeria? This is the idea behind the movie project titled, “The Green Heritage 3D: 87 Marvels From Nigeria”. And the ball has begun rolling. A teaser that demonstrates some of the advanced 3D modelling and animation that would be partly employed to recreate parts of our heritage and project it to the world, has been uploaded on our YouTube channel. With a talented team of young Nigerian writers, programmers, artists, architects and producers, all given visual life to a massive amount of research about and for Nigeria, you can rest assured that this might just be the most important movie of our generation, from Nigeria.

Bitcoin jumped more than 2 percent Tuesday to its highest since Jan. 4 amid a surge in speculative activity in Chinese exchanges after a drop in China's foreign exchange reserves.

"The volume in the Chinese exchanges is starting to pick up again," said Brian Kelly, founder of Brian Kelly Capital and a CNBC contributor. He is long bitcoin and also noted the move comes as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission reviews an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that tracks bitcoin's price.

On Tuesday, trade volume in Chinese bitcoin exchanges such as OKCoin was 14,500, a level not seen since the end of January, according to market data site TradeBlock.com.

The rise in the digital currency followed overnight news that China's closely watched foreign exchange reserves fell by $12.3 billion in January to $2.998 trillion. Although the pace of decline slowed, the drop below the psychologically key $3 trillion level renewed attention on how much Beijing is struggling to support the yuan and prevent capital outflows.
JOHANNESBURG (AP) — More than 120,000 Nigerians likely will suffer "catastrophic" famine-like conditions caused by Boko Haram's Islamic uprising, among 11 million confronting severe food shortages this year, according to a new U.N. report.
The report from the Food and Agriculture Organization predicts Africa's biggest humanitarian crisis in northeast Nigeria likely will deteriorate during the "lean" food season between June and August.
"Trends show that food security and nutrition are worsening," it says. Some "8.7 million people are expected to be in crisis: 2 million in emergency and 121 000 in famine conditions, bringing the total number of severely food-insecure people to 11 million."
Worst affected is Borno state, the birthplace of Boko Haram, which may hold 65 percent of those "expected to face famine conditions."
U.N. agencies have reported that children already are dying in that region and some 515,000 face death if they don't get help.
Corruption and conflict between the government and aid agencies is compounding the crisis. Officials are investigating reports local government agencies are stealing food aid.
